Region 1 is comprised of Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Southern California.
Sun & Sand aptly describes the geography covered by AITP's Southwestern Region (Region 1). Our Region starts at the Pacific Coast of Southern California and stretches across the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts into Nevada and Arizona then north up through the Great Basin to Utah. We support Professional and Student Chapters. The Los Angeles and San Diego Chapters are two of the oldest in AITP, as is the Student Chapter at San Diego State University. The Student Chapter at National University in San Diego is one of the youngest. Regardless of chapter age, number of members, or physical location, the Chapters of Region 1 serve our members and guests by delivering relevant technology and leadership education, research and information on current business and technology issues, and forums for networking and collaboration.
Region 2 is comprised of of Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Hawaii, and Alaska.
Region 3 is comprised of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Region 4 is comprised of Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.
AITP Region 5 represents professional and student chapters of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, the St. Louis Metro area of Missouri, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Iowa and Wisconsin. Region 5’s mission is to:
· Provide guidance, suggestions and training for successful chapter management.
· Provide educational, networking, and leadership opportunities for our members.
· Have fun and foster lasting friendships while we accomplish all of the above.
Region 7 is comprised of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Puerto Rico, Southern Kentucky and North Mississippi .
Region 11 is comprised of Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

Region 18, the "Leadership Region”, was formed in 1989 by the merger of Regions 8 and 10. Region 18 comprises professional and student chapters in Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina.
