The AITP Individual Performance Award (IPA) is a way of recognizing members for their individual achievements and dedication to the ideals of the association. Members earn points for each of their activities, such as committee assignments; election to office at the chapter, region or association level; presentations; attendance at AITP chapter, regional and association events, etc. At certain point levels, members are formally recognized for their contributions to AITP. There are a maximum number of points that can be earned in any one calendar year.
Chapters track the IPA points of their members. When members reach the level of the next IPA award, chapter leaders submit IPA information to the association Awards Committee. The Committee reviews the submissions, approves or denies the awards, and makes arrangements for the shipping of the award plaques to the chapters.
The submissions MUST be received 6-8 weeks prior to the intended presentation date.
