In a world where most people have had their personal information stolen, what steps can we take to help maintain confidentiality and avoid identity theft? Take a brief tour of some recent security events and learn what can be done to help mitigate risk.

Speaker: Ben Williams oversees information security at Davenport University and is responsible for incident response, governance and risk management, security architecture and design, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and legal and regulatory investigations and compliance. In his six years in this role, Ben has developed an information security framework and integrated security into the project management process, improving consistency in the application of security controls. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Davenport University.
