Welcome to the Northwest Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals

The Northwest Chapter of AITP in the Twin Cities maintains a strong local presence in the IT community even though its name has changed several times. The Chapter started in 1946 as the Association of Tabulating Supervisors (ATS). It was also know as Remington Association of Tabulating Supervisors, or RATS. In 1951 ATS/RATS became the National Machine Accounting Association (NMAA) and changed its name to Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) in 1961 with national affiliation. In 1997, the organization changed its name to the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) to better reflect its broad membership.

The Northwest Chapter holds monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month September through May, but please check the chapter web site for full meeting details.
