| Joined DPMA – San Diego in 1980 and he is an emeritus member of their Board. He is President of Region 1. Chuck has held every position at the chapter level. He has held secretary and director positions at the Region level; and served on national committees for membership, chapter operations, and the Research and Strategies Advisory Group. In the mid-1980’s, Chuck participated in the International Certification of Computer Professionals body of knowledge and subject matter testing revisions lead by Dr. Coleman Furr, founder of Coleman College. Chuck earned the CDP/CCP status in 1983 and was awarded the AITP Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. He has been recognized in “Who’s Who in the West”. He participates in a variety of other local forums – AIIM, ACP & PMI. |

| Chuck’s career began in 1967, writing FORTRAN at the County Engineer Department to pay his way thru San Diego State College (now University). After graduation, he worked for the County on on-line, real-time applications in Criminal Justice – well before systems like CICS. His 42 years of information systems experience spans the private, public, and academic sectors. His applications development and management experience include mainframe, mid-range and desktop computing environments in the IBM, DEC, UNIX, Novell and Windows platforms for managed care, pharmaceuticals, public health public utilities and local government. He has been the Chair of the Computer Information Science Department at Coleman College and an adjunct professor with the University of Phoenix. While at Coleman College, Chuck edited a lab text and problems on comparative operating systems. He is currently Manager for Integrated Justice Applications, representing the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department in regional, state and federal data sharing initiatives. These projects revolve around on-line data access, integration and security. Chuck holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from San Diego State University. |
