4/30/2012: I am one of William Howell's four daughters. He attended meetings of the Raleigh chapter after retiring to North Carolina in 1996. I am writing to inform you of his passing on April 18th. He fell ill in August of last year just days after driving himself to the AITP meeting. He was 86. He was a member of the DPMA which predated AITP from its inception in the early 1950's. He served in the Empire and Garden State chapters in various executive positions over the years.
