Welcome to Region 1 of the Association of Information Technology Professionals

Sun & Sand aptly describes the geography covered by AITP's Region 1 (Southwestern Region). It starts at the Pacific Coast of Southern California and stretches across the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts into Nevada and Arizona then north up through the Great Basin to Utah. We support five Professional Chapters -- California Southland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Diego -- and six Student Chapters -- California State University Fullerton, DeVry Institute of Technology Long Beach, National University (San Diego), San Diego State University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, and University of San Diego. The Los Angeles and San Diego Chapters are two of the oldest in AITP, and the Student Chapter at National University in San Diego is one of the youngest.
