| Hackathon and Beyond |
A "hackathon" is an event where programmers meet for a specified time frame to do collaborative computer programming. A hackathon refers to a specific time when many people come together to hack on what they want to, how they want to - with little to no restrictions on direction or goal of the programming. This presentation will report on the first hackathon hosted on the campus of UW-Whitewater in the fall of 2010 ( http://uwwhackathon.com ). Its relative success will be discussed as well as its impact both within and beyond a campus environment. |
