Discount Spotlight

This month's discount spotlight is on Dell! Check out the Member Discount Page for more!

In the Chapter Leader Library, you will now see a link to the AITP Member Welcome Kit. The welcome kit includes instructions on logging into the website for the first time, accessing benefits, and other great information. Please review this helpful package, and feel free to access it and provide it to your members. There is some refreshing updated information that even our longest standing members could glean something new.

Registration is now open for the 2016 AITP National Collegiate Conference and Career Fair® which will be held in Rosemont, IL from April 7th -10th.This year we will be adding an additional contest for students to create short promotional videos explaining what AITP means to them. If you are interested in attending the 2016 AITP NCC click here to learn more.

Continue ensuring your chapter's officers are up to date, that you have contact information listed somewhere accessible to prospects wishing to contact you for more information, that the discounts and products you are promoting are the most up to date. If you have any questions about how to update your chapter's webpage please see our tutorials in the chapter leaders section or contact AITP Headquarters for further assistance.

All chapters are required to file their form 990 each year, even if your chapter had no income for the year you must file your form 990 to retain your tax exempt status. Chapters who have not filed for 3 consecutive years will lose their tax exempt status and have to go through an arduous process to regain it. If you are unsure of your chapter's tax status please contact AITP HQ or visit the IRS website. Most chapters will be required to file in May, however, please be aware of the end of your chapter's fiscal year to know when your chapter needs to file. Please also make a note of any tax requirements required for your specific state.

To make sure that you are receiving the most up to date information from AITP please make sure you check your email preferences to ensure that you are receiving all Chapter Leader Communications. You can update your email preferences by logging in to your account, selecting "Manage Profile" from the orange box, then select "Edit Bio" under "Information and Settings". The eighth line down select "Manage Email Preferences" and in the pop up make sure there is a check mark next to those categories you wish to receive. Please feel free to pass this message on to any members of your board who may not have received it.

AITP Headquarters has created videos in an effort to help chapter leaders and members navigate the website. The topics include Locating Membership Reports, Updating Profile Information, Joining AITP, and Sending Group Messages. These videos can be found in the "Chapter Leaders" section of the website, under "Operations". You will need to be logged in to view these pages.
