Free Year of Professional Membership -Graduation Date 2015

During the 2015 AITP NCC,it was announced that current AITP Student Members, graduating in 2015, are eligible for one free year of professional membership. To apply for your free year of membership please use the free year application form. To complete the form, you are required to upload proof of graduation. Proof can include a copy of your diploma, a copy of your transcript, or a letter from your faculty advisor. You must be a current, paid AITP student member to be eligible for the discount.

20th Annual AITP National Collegiate Conference and Career Fair Highlights and Winner Circle

The AITP National Collegiate Conference and Career Fair continues to be the single largest event produced by AITP annually and the 2015 event was yet again no exception. Held March 26-29, 2015 at the CenturyLink Convention Center and Hilton Omaha, comments from the 550 student, faculty and IT professional registrants echoed the awesome factor mentioning the total enjoyment of the hotel, convention center and the attractions in Omaha’s famed Old Market and nearby Council Bluffs, Iowa.

National AITP Board of Directors Meeting on June 24th at 3 pm ET – Members Welcome!

All AITP members are invited to participate in the upcoming national AITP Board of Directors meeting, which is being heldWednesday, June 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm ET.

AITP members need to register online, then the GoToWebinar details for the meeting will be emailed to you automatically.

The national AITP Board of Directors meetings are held monthly and open to all members. At the beginning of each meeting, there is an open forum where guests are able to express their comments/concerns. The AITP Board is elected by members and always appreciates receiving feedback, as well as any ideas to add value to your AITP membership.
We hope that you will participate in this and future AITP Board meetings!

Updating Email Preferences


AITP recognizes and appreciates that your time is valuable. We want to ensure that you receive appropriate and timely email communications from the organization. We reorganized our email system preferences to give you more control over the emails you receive from us. These changes do not apply to renewal notices or legally required communications such as election notifications.

You will need to update your preferences in your account on in order to take advantage of these new settings.Please follow the steps outlined below to designate the types of email you would like to receive from AITP.

Sign into – please contact HQ at if you need assistance with your username or password

Once signed in click Manage Profile and then under Information & Settings, click Edit Bio and then Manage Email Preference – you can uncheck any category of email that you do not wish to receive and click Save Preference.

Click HERE to update your preferences now.

Please note that some classifications only apply to certain member types, for example, Professional members will not receive mailings to Student members and vice versa.

Success Story: Twin City Chapter Presents Student Award

On April 16, 2015, theAssociation of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Twin City Chapter in Bloomington/Normal, IL honored an Illinois State University student for superior academic and extracurricular involvement.

The chapter is proud to announce the recipient of the $500 Student Award. The award is given out annually to a student chapter AITP member that has at least 60 credit hours and is in an IT related field. Students must portray leadership skills, campus involvement, and strong academics.
