POLICY
Substitutions are
encouraged but in the event a cancellation is required, it must be in
writing and will be subject to a $50 administrative fee. There will be no
refunds for cancellations after 3/15/2010 or for no-shows.
CONFERENCE FORCE MAJEURE
Performance of the conference is subject to acts
of God, government authority, disaster or other emergencies that are
beyond the control of the parties (AITP and you the attendee), any of
which make it illegal or impossible to provide the services and/or
facilities related to this conference. It is provided that this
Agreement may be terminated for any one or more of such reasons by
written notice from one party to the other without liability. In
the event that the conference is not able to be held due to "force
majeure" conditions or situations listed above - a full refund of
registration fees will be provided.
SUGGESTED CONFERENCE ATTIRE
Many students have asked about what is "appropriate"
attire for the conference so here are some suggested guidelines to follow:

Remember, our conference keynoters, breakout speakers and
exhibitors want to be impressed by AITP and likewise, you want to impress
them as well, especially if you are seeking information and/or opportunities
from the career fair exhibitors. In other words, dress to impress but don't
dress to "depress or shock". However, "comfortable and acceptable" attire is
encouraged for the contest events which will be held at the hotel on Thursday and Friday. After all, we
want you to be comfortable as you go for the winner circle at this year's
conference but you also want to look sharp when we take your "winner
picture" at the banquet too!
CONFERENCE BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE
Fortunately, we have not had any major problems nor
incidents at any of the past conferences but at the request at one of our
exhibitors, they kindly ask for your promptness, attention and respect for
all conference keynotes, breakout sessions, contest events and exhibitors.
Remember, you are representing not only AITP, but your respective
college/university and all other AITP members at this conference event.
Emergency contact information will also be provided as you obtain your
conference registration materials "just in case".
TIPPING FOR SERVICES
Should you
require the services of a bellman, the concierge desk, the valet parking
staff members or others, please remember that they are there to serve you
but also work for tips. We do, however, kindly ask that you are considerate of
the hotel staff that goes the extra mile and performs additional services
like the bellman, spa/health club attendants, hail a cab and so forth. Much
like restaurant workers, the majority of their income comes from tips and
they "kindly ask you to compensate them for the requested services that they
provide you".
