The Foundation for Information Technology Education (FITE) is pleased to announce that the Kevin Jetton Service Scholarship committee selected the recipient for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Kevin Jetton is a Past President of AITP, current Vice-President of the Foundation for Information Technology Education and a driving force behind the AITP National Collegiate Conference. In 2003, some members of AITP and the AITP Education Special Interest Group (EDSIG) established the Kevin Jetton Service Scholarship that is administered by the Foundation for Information Technology Education.

Recipients must be full-time students pursuing a degree in Information Technology and member of an AITP Student Chapter. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic ability, demonstrated service and leadership potential.

The recipient of the 2012-2013 Kevin Jetton Service Scholarship is Chloe Lockard, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA.

Congratulations to Chloe for her achievement!

When she learned of her selection, Chloe told the Foundation:
"I am honored to be the recipient of the national Kevin Jetton Service Scholarship for 2012-2013! This honor is renewing my motivation to finish out my last year as a Computer Information System's major at James Madison University and to start my life in the business world. AITP has always been there to support me since my freshman year, and it has guided me to choose my perfect career in consulting. The outstanding amount of benefits AITP offers is something that should not be overlooked. For me, every amount of money is helpful to reduce stress associated with paying for school. I am very thankful to receive this honor, and I will continue to be a strong leader and be devoted to my work in the future. Thanks again!”  Chloe Lockard

The Foundation will soon be accepting applications for the 2013-2014 scholarships. An article will be published in Information Executive when applications are open.
