AITP Announces Valuable Security Training Partnership with SANS Institute

The Association of Information
Technology Professionals Board of Directors is pleased to announce that AITP
has entered into a partnership to offer two different discount-priced security
training programs in cooperation with the SANS Institute
"most trusted name in information and software security training.”
These valuable benefits are
offered to all AITP professional members who are employed in private businesses
and organizations, and those employed by the United States' federal government.
In addition, for AITP professional
and student members, associated separate SANS discount-priced programs are
available for those employed or allied with K-12, college and university
educational institutions, and with state, county, municipal and other local
10% Discount for AITP Members on ALL SANS Core Training
The Association has negotiated for
ALL AITP members a 10% discount on all SANS core training, both for online
courses, and for live classroom, in-person training.
This includes training on everything from
security essentials to hacker techniques, exploits,
incident handling, network penetration testing, ethical hacking, computer
forensic investigations, web app penetration testing, and intrusion detection, and
are all covered in depth. There are many other courses offered, both at training
courses held at venues around the world, and online.

Whether a live classroom or online
course, because the training is individual, the 10% discount applies only to
the actual member of AITP.

Large Discount on SANS "Securing the Human" Training
Companies who have AITP members can register, for a
single flat highly discounted fee, up to 700 employees in the SANS "Securing
the Human” program, which was produced to help organizations build and deploy
an effective security awareness program.

As long as the
company or organization or institution has one AITP member, then that company,
organization or institution is eligible for the Securing the Human discounted
Eligible members who wish to get
started receiving these benefits right away should begin by entering through
the official AITP/SANS portal page here:
Should an AITP member's company
wish to purchase more than 700 user seats they may contact SANS directly at:
first signing up on the portal page above.
Regardless of how many users they
want, eligible members must still register through the SANS dedicated AITP
portal webpage in order for AITP to receive financial credit.
(Those involved in state and local
government, and education should use the portal page initially, and then they
will be directed to the special programs reserved for those classes of users.)

dollars in direct savings to AITP members and their affiliated organizations
As an added bonus, AITP's
Board of Directors has entered into a revenue sharing agreement with SANS that
is likely to bring a new stream of additional revenues to our association.
