Call for Candidates – 2014 Association Officers and Directors

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Directors & Officers Recruitment Committee (ARC) is currently seeking
candidates for the following Association Board of Directors (ABoD) positions
that will become available January 1, 2014:
Executive Vice President/President-Elect (will serve as 2015 Association
Secretary (single one-year term)
Treasurer (single one-year term)
Director – Central District (term 2014-2015)
Director – Eastern District (term 2014-2015)
Director – Southern District (term 2014-2015)
Director – Western District (term 2014-2015)
Who is Eligible?
are open to all Professional members in good standing, including honorary
members and those who joined under the Student-to-Professional (S2P)
program. There are a few additional eligibility rules:
members of a District Directors & Officers Recruitment Committee (DRC)
and ARC may not stand for Association Officer or Director election;
for Association Director must come from the District that elects them (see
What's My District below);
currently finishing two complete terms as an Association Director are
ineligible to run for a third term;
for an Association Officer position must have served for at least one year
on ABoD or a Region Board of Directors.

What is the Candidate Process?
Any eligible member
interested in being considered as a candidate should review the materials found
where you will also find the 2013 Candidate Application and instructions for
submitting it. The deadline for all
Candidate Applications is 4:00pm CDT June 30, 2013.
Applications will be vetted first by your DRC.

When will Elections be Held?
Following the June 30th
deadline for Candidate Applications, the ARC is responsible for deciding on the
slate of candidates for election based on DRC recommendations. The ARC will report the slate to the
Association President and ABoD by its July 24th ABoD meeting. We will hold the election for Association
Officers and Directors in September and successful candidates will assume
office on January 1, 2014. Should a candidate for a position run uncontested,
then there will be no election held for that position, and the candidate will
be affirmed by ABoD acclamation.

For the purpose of
Association elections, we are organized into four Districts formed from our
– Region 5
– Regions 11, 13, 18
– Regions 3, 7
– Regions 1, 2, 4
Whether you belong to a
