Professional Chapter Affirmation Forms Due by 1/31/2014

Leaders: This article contains important information for you. There is a
"Chapter Affirmation Form” that you must complete by 1/31/2014 to receive the
$5 additional rebate for January. Details are below.
Chapter Affirmation Form
Affirmation Form found at http://www.aitp.org/?ChapterAffirm should be completed by chapter leaders
of each professional chapter in order for the chapter to receive a $5
per member dues rebate from the Association. This must be done annually.
Affirmation form asks for you to affirm that AITP has current leaders
identified for your professional chapter and for your sponsored student
chapters. That will help us ensure that AITP communicates with the correct
chapter leaders. It also ensures that the correct leaders in your chapter
(and in your student chapters) can get a file of member information, send
broadcast emails to their members, set up chapter events and
blogs, etc. The form also asks for you to affirm that your
professional chapter is still active and holding regular meetings for its
For most chapters, the leaders are displayed in a list on their landing page.
Each leader is shown with a code number for the chapter position and the
person's name. For example, 010-President John Smith.
If your chapter does not display that list of chapter leaders on their landing
page, please contact AITP at email@example.com to confirm we have the correct list of leaders on file.
Please affirm the list of leaders on the landing page for each one of
your student chapters as well.
If the list of chapter leaders on a landing page is not current, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and provide us each leader's name and position (we will
fill in the code number). Be sure to identify the chapter you are updating.
Chapter leaders will
know that AITP has identified them as chapter leaders if when they go
to their chapter page, they see a red bar near to top that says:
Group Admin Options Change
Homepage Layout Resource Manager.
If you do not see that bar, please contact email@example.com to be added.
To provide updates
for Chapter leaders, please send via email either by attachment or in the body
of the text, to firstname.lastname@example.org (Subject: Chapter Leader Update),
- The Leader/faculty advisor name.
- Leader/faculty advisor position.
- Leader/faculty advisor member number
- Email address, if the leader or
faculty advisor is not currently a member.

Once emailed to email@example.com, please allow 3-5 business days for
Chapter leader updates to be made on the Association Web Portal chapter
Release of Chapter Incentive
Chapters that remit the required information in the chapter incentive
affirmation will be eligible to receive the $5 rebate. Chapters will start
receiving the $5 incentive for all new and renewing members for the year
starting with the rebates for the month that the chapter incentive affirmation
- Example: Your Chapter remits the
required information (by completing steps outlined herein) by January 31.
Your $5 incentives for each new and renewing member from January will be
included beginning with your January rebate ACH sent in February.
- Example: Your chapter remits the
required information (by completing the steps outlined here) after January
31. Your $5 incentive for each new and renewing member will begin in the
month the form is completed.
