The 2014 AITP NCC Chattahoochee Technical College (CTC)
Student Chapter Co-Host Invites You to Participate in the "Explore
Scavenger Hunt” Experience!
Looking for a fun activity to include on your trip to the
city of Atlanta, Georgia? Check out The CTC AITP Explore Scavenger Hunt which
combines exploring Atlanta’s historical landmarks and attractions with fun,
fast-paced competition. This amazing scavenger hunt adventure is interactive as
it navigates you through Atlanta to solve clues and complete challenges, while
seeing the sights and learning local history.
Here is how to play.
At the conference, the AITP club member will need to check
in with us to register the participant and to provide information of how and what
to find throughout the city. You are then on your own to hunt the city and find
the places in the photos provided. There will be a specific request of what is
needed once you reach the designated area. For example, a name on a statue or
the recording of the music at the Olympic fountain is requested. At each
destination, use your smartphone to show that you have made it there by taking
a picture and, when necessary, recording the sounds.
Your amazing scavenger hunt adventure is approximately 2.5
miles of walking and uses the local transit system at one point in the game.
You will begin at Centennial Olympic Park taking you on a trail through Olympic
history, past great inventors, attractions and into the underground Marta
station. Your quest will then take you back through historic landmarks and help
you feel the spirit of the civil rights movement. You will be guided along
Andrew Young International Blvd., Peachtree Center and Five Points.
The smartphone guide allows you do to do this at your own pace.
However, for fun competition, put together an Olympic team for the challenge to
see who can complete this scavenger hunt first.
