Individual Performance Award (IPA)

This award recognizes members for their individual achievements and dedication to the ideals of the association. Members earn points for each of their activities and when they achieve certain point levels they are formally recognized with the IPA award for their contributions to AITP.

AITP recommends that members make their IPA submissions to the chapter awards chairs by March 31, 2014. This is because IPA applications serve as a source of information for chapters to complete their COPA applications. Chapter Awards Chairs can submit IPA Awards to throughout 2014. The only stipulation is they must be received at least eight (8) weeks prior to the anticipated presentation date.

The IPA Awards Manual and Spreadsheet can be found on the Professional Awards Page.

Region Funding

Region financial funding will be granted up to $1,000 to a Region by the Association providing the Region meets certain criteria. This amount is subject to change by the Association Board of Directors.

The 2014 Association budget approved by the Association Board of Directors has restored Region Funding to a maximum of $1,000.

The Region Funding Request instructions and spreadsheet can be found on the Professional Awards page. Regions must submit their Region Funding requests to by April 30, 2014.

Professional Chapter Incentive (PCI)

Under the PCI program, the Association will grant a professional chapter up to $400 providing the chapter meets certain criteria. This amount is subject to change by the Association Board of Directors

The 2014 Association budget approved by the Association Board of Directors has restored PCI funding to a maximum of $400.

The PCI Funding Request instructions and spreadsheet can be found on the Professional Awards page. Chapters must submit their completed spreadsheet to by April 30, 2014.

Chapter Outstanding Performance Awards (COPA)

The Chapter Outstanding Performance Award was developed to recognize Chapters for their efforts to become a well-rounded, effective group within their industry, local community and professional association.

The COPA spreadsheet can be found on the Professional Awards page. Chapters must submit their completed spreadsheet to by March 31, 2014.

The Association Awards Committee will notify the Region Presidents Council (RPC) of approved COPA recipients no later than April 30, 2014 for Region Outstanding Chapter Award (ROCA) selection.

Where does it fit? No specific area?

Use this section to put in ALL the items that fit that category, but doesn’t have a specific place.

You may need to put an item into the "Other” box in one or more categories.

If an item fits into more than one category, enter it into EVERY category it fits into. For example:

  • Some items fit both Business and Local categories, so put the items into both categories under the "other” heading.
  • If it fits Chapter, Business and Giving Forward – put the items into all the categories under the "other” heading.

Use this area for ANYTHING you want to specifically highlight that doesn't fit under a given category. These items could also be entered into the "other” heading, but those areas may already be extensive. So, this gives you another place to enter significant information. Some examples:

  • Your membership doubled during the year.
  • Chapter meeting programs were outstanding and attendance was significantly increased.
  • Chapter received special recognition or hosted an unusual or special event.
  • Chapter member(s) received special recognition or award(s) from Business or Local Communities.

Contact any of the following:

Region Outstanding Chapter Award (ROCA)

Regions are to select their Region Outstanding Chapter from the list of chapters who were awarded COPA. Region Presidents are to inform of their ROCA selection by May 30, 2014.

This supporting documentation should be requested from the recipient chapter and submitted with the ROCA selection notification, if possible. If not, the supporting documentation must be submitted within three (3) days or the recipient chapter will be submitted without any additional documentation.

The Association Awards Chair will immediately send ROCA selections and supporting documentation to the AITP President, who then sends them to the Independent AOCA selection committee.

Association Outstanding Chapter Award (AOCA)
