2014 Professional AITP Awards Schedule Announced

AITP has finalized the 2014
Professional Awards Schedule for
chapters and regions.
The 2014 Professional Awards Schedule includes deadline adjustments
requested by the Region Presidents. The
new schedule gives more time for Chapter Awards Chairs to submit the requests. There have been some editing changes made to
the COPA and funding request forms.
Individual Performance Award
Members submit documentation to Chapter Award Chairs by March 31, 2014
Chapters can submit IPA anytime
during the year (allow 8 weeks lead time).
Performance Award (COPA)
Submit to email@example.com by April 15, 2014.
Professional Chapter Incentive
Submit to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 30, 2014.
Submit to email@example.com by April 30, 2014.
Region Outstanding Chapter
Awards committee will notify Regions of approved COPA recipients
by May 15, 2014.
Regions submit ROCA recipient to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 15, 2014.
Performance Award (AOCA)
Will be selected by July 15, 2014. The AITP President will determine the
Sciences Award (DISA)

Performance Award (IPA)
This award recognizes members for their individual achievements
and dedication to the ideals of the association. Members earn points for each
of their activities and when they achieve certain point levels they are formally
recognized with the IPA award for their contributions to AITP.
AITP recommends that members make their IPA submissions to the chapter
awards chairs by March 31, 2014. This is because IPA applications serve as a
source of information for chapters to complete their COPA applications. Chapter Awards
Chairs can submit IPA Awards to firstname.lastname@example.org throughout 2014. The only stipulation is they
must be received at least eight (8) weeks prior to the anticipated presentation

Region financial funding will be granted up to $1,000 to a Region
by the Association providing the Region meets certain criteria. This amount is
subject to change by the Association Board of Directors.
Association budget approved by the Association Board of Directors has restored Region
Funding to a maximum of $1,000.

found on the Professional Awards page.
Regions must submit their Region Funding requests to email@example.com by April
Chapter Incentive (PCI)
Under the PCI program, the Association will grant a professional
chapter up to $400 providing the chapter meets certain criteria. This amount is subject to change by the
Association Board of Directors
Association budget approved by the Association Board of Directors has restored PCI
funding to a maximum of $400.
The PCI Funding Request instructions and spreadsheet can be found
on the Professional Awards page.
Chapters must submit their completed spreadsheet to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 30,
Performance Awards (COPA)
Chapter Outstanding Performance Award was developed to recognize Chapters for
their efforts to become a well-rounded, effective group within their industry,
local community and professional association.
COPA spreadsheet can be found on the Professional Awards page. Chapters must submit their completed
spreadsheet to email@example.com by March 31,
Association Awards Committee will notify the Region Presidents Council (RPC) of
approved COPA recipients no later than April 30, 2014 for Region Outstanding
Chapter Award (ROCA) selection.

Region Outstanding Chapter
are to select their Region Outstanding Chapter from the list of chapters who
were awarded COPA. Region Presidents are to inform firstname.lastname@example.org of their ROCA
selection by May 30, 2014.

selection. This supporting documentation
should be requested from the recipient chapter and submitted with the ROCA
selection notification, if possible. If
not, the supporting documentation must be submitted within three (3) days or
the recipient chapter will be submitted without any additional documentation.
Association Awards Chair will immediately send ROCA selections and supporting
documentation to the AITP President, who then sends them to the Independent
AOCA selection committee.
Outstanding Chapter Award (AOCA)
Independent committee will select the AOCA winner from the ROCA recipients by June
30, 2014. The final schedule for announcements and presentation will be
determined by the AITP President.
Distinguished Information Sciences Award (DISA)
This award recognizes individuals who
have made outstanding contributions through distinguished services to the field
of information management. A list of
past recipients can be found here.
The DISA submission form can found on
the Professional Awards page and must be submitted to email@example.com by November 30, 2014.
The Professional Awards Committee is under the Professional
