Special Award to Beth Pirrie, 2010 Association President

Elisabeth "Beth" Pirrie served AITP as President for 2010. In recognition of this, the Association will honor her at the upcoming AITP Member Summit being held in Orlando, FL, March 25-26, 2011.

Beth hails from the Emerald City of Seattle, Washington and has been a member of AITP since 1970. Her professional career has including working for major companies such as Boeing, Eddie Bauer, the City of Seattle, Seattle Public Schools, and recently in the Travel Industry. Her education includes a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Iowa in Sociology.

The offices held while involved with AITP (and DPMA) include:

  • 2010 President
  • 2009 Executive Vice President / President Elect
  • 2008 Secretary /Treasurer
  • 2003-2007 Western District Director
  • Numerous Committees
Region (Region 2):
  • 2000-2002 President

  • 1980 DPMA Computer Show Co-Chair

In addition, Beth as recently been appointed by the Association Board of Directors to serve out the term of Secretary for 2011.

We thank her for her years of dedicated service, and will be presenting her with a token of our appreciation during our member's summit March 25-26 in Orlando.
