Several schools received recognition as Student Chapter Outstanding Performance Award (SCOPA) for the 2008 award year. Four regions were represented with student chapters achieving the SCOPA award. Those regions were Region 3, 5, 7 and 18.
The award winning schools from Region 5 were: Fox Valley Technical Center, Appleton, WI Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Kalamazoo, MI.
The Region 3 winners were: Cameron University, Lawton, OK Delta State University, Cleveland, MS Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA Texas State University, San Marcos, TX.
The Region 7 schools were: Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA The University of West Florida, Pensacola, FL.
The Region 18 winner was: Appalachian State University, Boone, NC.
These colleges and universities should be proud of their accomplishments.
Eight students also received the Student Individual Performance Award (SIPA). The students can attain either a 2-year award or 4-year award.
The 2-year SIPA winners were: Blake Doss, Theresa Martin, Tatyana Melekhina, and Josh Zimmer - Fox Valley Technical Center
The 4-year SIPA winners were: Marcus L. Caswell, Ramona Greer, and Michael A. Koehler - Delta State University Devon Drake - Northwestern State University
These SIPA winners should also be proud of their accomplishments in AITP.
