Many AITP members have been wondering "Where is Region 1?" Not that the Southwestern states have slipped off of the map. But we have not been very active as a region within AITP for several years now.
That will change with our new Region 1 leadership team:

We put the team into place on a pro tempore basis in July while we rebuild the Region 1 infrastructure, including electing a Region 1 Board of Directors. Our plan is to hold a Region 1 Board Meeting in the November and a Region 1 Conference in April.
Oh yes, geographically, Region 1 consists of the Chartered AITP Professional and Student Chapters in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, as well as Individual Members who don't belong to a chapter within this territory.
