Hosted an AITP CIO Professionalism Forum in San Diego in April
Conducted its first-ever Leadership Workshop in April
Launched a quarterly eNewsletter Sun & Sand in May, which also serves as the landing page for the Region 1 website
Held a successful Region 1 Conference on Virtualization in June with the CTO of Teradata R&D as the keynote speaker and chaired by Chuck Brown of San Diego
Created an email alias Region1@aitp.org to facilitate communication with the region leadership
Grown its membership by 16%
All five of our active Professional Chapters applied for and received Professional Chapter Incentives (PCI) this year -- a first for our region. Two Region 1 representatives are serving on the Western District Recruitment Committee -- Raymond Day of San Diego and Kristina Perkins of Phoenix. And Region 1 President Norbert Kubilus recently became one of the two Association Directors from the Western District.
