AITP is piloting a monthly Internet Radio show, called AITP Live! on the Scott Draughon MyTechnologyLawyer Internet Radio Show at www.mytechnologylawyer.com/radio. The shows air on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm Eastern time. You can listen to the shows live or download them later by clicking on the Past Programs link in the left column of the MyTechnologyLawyer.com page and then scrolling down to the appropriate date.

The July 10 show will feature Stuart Gross and Norbert Kubilus of the San Diego Chapter. Brian Gabrielson of Robert Half Technologies will discuss Business Etiquette for the IT Professional.

The June 12 show featured Nadine Evans of the Charleston Chapter. We also talked about IT employment with Brian Gabrielson of Robert Half Technologies. We covered topics such as IT hiring trends, what skills are (and will be) in demand, and the need for business acumen by the IT professional. AITP members can get additional information about IT employment at the Robert Half Technology Information Resource Center in the Members section of the AITP Web Portal.

We had a great show on May 8, featuring Anna Stambaugh and Elaine Miller covering the activities of AITP's Region 4. Then we covered the topic of the IT Employment Landscape with Rick Martinez, CEO of r2 Technologies, Inc.. Listen to the show for excellent hints and tips on how to better prepare for today's and tomorrow's jobs in Information Technology.

Prior to this pilot of monthly shows, AITP appeared on several of the MyTechnologyLawyer programs, including an hour long interview on January 31 featuring an overview of AITP with Teresa Hickerson, Mark Gilfand, Kevin Jetton, Paul Leidig, and Brian Gabrielson.

We also appeared on a number of short segments of MyTechnologyLawyer radio shows, featuring various chapters and committees, including: You can still download and listen to all these shows, from the AITP on the Radio page.  They are a great way to tell the AITP story from the both the Association and Chapter perspectives. We thank our guests for helping us spread the word about the opportunities of AITP.

Whether we will continue these Internet Radio shows beyond the July 10 pilot will depend on whether we secure sponsorships to cover the cost of these shows. Your company may be interested in sponsoring a portion of these shows. The MyTechnologyLawyer audiences are all members of the Technology community --- about 50% are technology entrepreneurs, 30% are technology buyers and 20% are professionals in ancillary industries with responsibility for technology products and services. Check out the sponsorship and advertising links at the MyTechnologyLawyer Internet Radio Show website, or contact Executive Director Eric Hawkinson at AITP Headquarters.

We also want to feature more chapters and regions on future radio shows. Chapter and Region officers that are interested can contact AITP Headquarters. It is a great way to get the word out in your community about the opportunities provided by your chapter.

The value of appearing on these shows is that the moderator sends an email to his 30,000 subscribers about the content of each show. AITP gets exposure by being mentioned in emails to 30,000 IT Professionals, who either listen in live, or download the show later. For those in the Silicon Valley area, some of the shows air on Sundays on KQKE at 1:00 pm Pacific time.

Listen to AITP Live!, the second Tuesday of the month, at 2:00 pm Eastern at www.mytechnologylawyer.com/radio. You can catch the show live or download it later. On each show, we will feature an AITP chapter, region or committee and then discuss topics of interest to IT Professionals.
