Hope the summer is find everyone well and not too busy. Many things have been going on with AITP. AITP has just completed an affiliation with Adobe. As an AITP member you are eligible for a 15% discount on all Adobe products. The entire benefit offering complete with a link to a dedicated AITP-Adobe website site is located under our vendor-affiliates page on the AITP web portal.
In January, AITP was invited to participate on the Scott Draughon MyTechnologyLawyer.com Internet Radio Show. Since the inception, we have hosted several show that featured chapters and committees and the value they receive from AITP. In May, we aired a pilot for a monthly show called AITP Live. The first pilot aired on May 8th, with the next two shows scheduled for June 12th and July 10th. All shows are currently available to be downloaded at the AITP on the Radio page. If your chapter wishes to participate in the chapter highlight segment, if you have chapter members who are experts on some aspect of IT and would like to be featured or you would like to be involved in the production of the show, please email AITP Headquarters at email@example.com.
During the National Collegiate Conference, AITP unveiled the AITP Student Leadership Council which is designed to be a new way to include and ultimately retain AITP Student Members. The AITP Student Leadership Council will consist of student members who have been selected by an association committee. Our goal with the Student Leadership Council is to raise the level of awareness in our student members and let them know that they are the future of our organization. We believe this is a great step in a new form of benefit offering for the student members.
Just another reminder, self-provisioning for your Chapter Leader information is now available on the web portal. Chapter leaders now have the capability of editing their own chapter leaders and officers. On the http://www.aitp.org/mychapter website is a link that reads ? Add/Edit Chapter Leaders. Help the Association communicate to your chapter better by keeping your chapter leader information current.
2007 is proving to be a busy year. Tell your friends about AITP and have them visit our web site at: www.aitp.org.
