AITP helps with San Antonio River Parade

Members of AITP helped "in a major" way at the 2004 Ford Holiday River Parade on Friday night, November 26, 2004 as the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk was turned into a holiday wonderland! 20 floats actually floated on the San Antonio river. All were decorated to the theme "A Children's Christmas". When you combine a full moon, mild temperatures (I was in shorts and a polo shirt), 122,000 colored lights in the trees lining the Riverwalk, and 150,000 people - you have a holiday party, San Antonio style!

Here was the time-line:

3pm Volunteer Check-in
7pm Lights, Camera & Parade
8pm+ Fold/Stack Chairs and enjoy the rest of the evening

The parade will be broadcast in 52 television markets (live or on a tape-delay basis) - many of which have AITP chapters.
