AITP Student Member WINS a Notebook PC from AITP!

The campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, was filled with excitement on November 3 as 2002 AITP President Kevin Jetton made a special presentation at the NMSU AITP student chapter meeting to Jacqueline Lujan, who had recently joined the AITP student chapter after being strongly encouraged by the student chapter fundraising chair. During the presentation, there was even talk of potentially starting an AITP professional chapter in Las Cruces.

Jacqueline later said, "Joining AITP has been a great experience for me this semester. I never realized the benefits I would get out of joining our student chapter here at NMSU. I have made many friends and I look forward to going to Atlanta next year. I would encourage all to take part in AITP. It opens the door to the opportunity to meet new people and learn many new things. Thank you AITP! I will most certainly enjoy using my new Dell notebook PC!"

Also, the NMSU AITP student chapter attended the AITP Region 3 student conference in Stephenville, Texas, taking first place in database, second in Java and third in Visual Basic. Of course, they are planning on attending the 2005 AITP National Collegiate Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on April 7-9, and are already working on fundraising projects.
