The Botanic Garden of Western Pennsylvania, a horticultural society, has chosen IADT-Pittsburgh students, who are also members of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), Pittsburgh student chapter and faculty advisor for AITP, Rick Land to assist in the development of their Web site.

The Pittsburgh Technology Council selected the AITP Pittsburgh Student Chapter among other applications to participate in submission of information to the Horticultural Society.

"They believed our students had the most to offer, said AITP instructor and faculty advisor, Rick Land.” Armed with that information, Mr. Land encouraged the following AITP student members Web Team to participate in this industry lead project: Mike McAleer, Brian Kent, Steve Binion, and graduate student, Justin Mikita.

The students created a professional PowerPoint presentation, and presented it to Lindsey Totten, President, Botanic Garden of Western Pennsylvania, and Ellen Ahamd, Program Manager, on Tuesday, January 21 at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Pittsburgh. All parties were ecstatic and look forwarded to a mutually beneficial and successful partnership.
