Perhaps the greatest asset to the Association of Information Technology Professionals is the strength of its many parts. Supported by a strong national governing body, AITP is provided with an overall vision for the association and a defining strategy that will provide direction for years to come. But the overall success of the association is based primarily upon the dedication and the commitment of its members on a local level.

AITP Headquarters understands the symbiotic relationship of the association on a national and chapter level, and further realizes its role to assist and support each chapter. This includes a commitment from Headquarters to continually discover opportunities that will encourage chapter growth, engage members on a local level and bring overall value to the association. As the greatest benefit to members is that which comes directly from its chapters, AITP will remain committed to these goals in all association decisions.

AITP is also proud to serve its members through the creation of its new Web Portal, launching this summer. Members will be enabled to use the Portal for chapter promotion and development along with the opportunity to share and gain knowledge and best practices from chapters across the country. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting new tool for all AITP members.

Additionally, AITP supports its members on a chapter level through its rewards program. Aimed at rewarding members for their years of dedication and service to the association, the rewards program serves as a significant service in recognizing those who have invested time and energy in supporting their chapters.

Headquarters is committed to programs that will drive positive experiences for members on a local level, but is equally committed to building the broader community of members throughout the association. In the electronic information era of today, the geographic constraints of yesterday are now a thing of the past. AITP is dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of these changing times and adapting to the technology of tomorrow.

On a national level, Headquarters is working behind the scenes to assist chapters in their efforts to enlist new members and retain current members. This year, energy is being focused on improving the experience these members have. Staff is working to better the quality and performance of operations. Work is already underway to determine methods of cost-cutting and time-saving.

With the support of the AITP Board of Directors, Headquarters is working to increase the value of being part of a strong national organization. Members will soon be able to commune with the deep expertise of the association's membership in the sharing of intellectual capitol online. Members will have the opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in technology through affiliations and partnerships with companies. Members can further take advantage of a new Website, displaying new technologies that will allow for collaboration between and amongst members. Instruction sessions and discussion forums will drive knowledge and communicate best practices in an efficient and timesaving manner.

This is simply an exciting time to be a part of the Association of Technology Professionals. AITP Headquarters is concerned solely with supporting and developing programs that will bring value to each of its members so everyone will have a positive experience on both a national and local level.
