AITP is accepting nominations for the 2011 Distinguished Information Sciences Award (DISA). DISA is AITP's highest award, bestowed upon individuals who have made outstanding contributions through distinguished services in the field of information technology.
The first DISA was awarded in 1969 to Rear Admiral Grace M. Hopper. Since then, DISA recipients have included Dr. Paul M. Pair, H. Ross Perot, Bill Gates and Lt. Gen Emmett Paige, Jr. Our 2010 winner was Dr. Coleman Furr. See other DISA recipients at: www.aitp.org/?page=DISA.
The deadline for the 2011 DISA submissions is November 30, 2011.
To nominate an individual for the Distinguished Information Sciences Award (DISA), please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org (with a copy to email@example.com) that contains the following information for the candidate:

Description of the contributions made in the field of information management through distinguished service

All candidate submissions will be reviewed by a committee of Association Past Presidents. The final selection will be approved by the Association Board of Directors at its December 2011 meeting.
