In Memoriam: Karin Kotschwar

It is with sorrow that we report that Karin Kotschwar of the Cornhusker Chapter passed away December 4, 2011.  Click here for her obituary, in the Lincoln, NE Journal Star.

Karin was a member of the AITP Cornhusker Chapter for 24 years and was always involved on the Board, at monthly chapter meetings, seminars, and volunteering!

Karin was AITP Cornhusker Chapter President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Program Vice President, and held these 4 positions multiple times during the 24 years she was a Professional Member. Karin was also the current Past President of AITP Region 4 (comprised of NE, CO, ND, SD, KS, MN, IA, and MO).

If anyone showed an example of being an Active AITP Cornhusker Chapter and National Professional Member, it was Karin!

Anything Karin did was done in a very professional manner and you could always count on her, she was a definite Leader!

It is hard to put into words what all Karin has done for our AITP Cornhusker Chapter! Karin will be missed by the AITP Cornhusker Chapter as a Dear Friend!

It saddens me this holiday season to have lost one of our dedicated Cornhusker Chapter AITPers. Karin Kotschwar was not only active on the local front but also had devoted time and energy to the regional and national tasks of AITP. To honor Karin's dedication, the Cornhusker Chapter is setting up a scholarship in her name. Karin will be missed.
