Yes, 2013. Even as we begin 2012, planning for association leadership for 2013 begins. The 2012 Association Recruitment Committee (ARC) is forming to seek association candidates for 2013. The ARC needs active AITP leaders to represent AITP and manage the process from identification of 2013 candidates through election results. Each district forms a District Recruitment Committee (DRC) whose chair is a member of the ARC. Region Presidents are seeking representatives for their DRC (Central, Eastern, Southern and Western districts).
If you are a current professional member, have been a chapter leader, and are interested in making a difference in AITP, please contact your Region President (click here) to see if you can represent your region and be part of this auspicious process! Note that the first scheduled conference call of ARC and DRC members is Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 2 PM CST.
As a member of a DRC or the ARC, you are making a difference for the future of AITP and its leadership! Here is a golden opportunity to grow your leadership skills while involved with IT professionals across the IT industry. It is a great way to see how AITP leadership works behind the scenes. You will interact with AITP colleagues who have a similar interest in selecting association candidates to serve AITP in 2013. Your role directly impacts AITP in 2013! Here is your chance to make a difference in the future of your association! (Note that if you are planning to run for an association officer or director position, you may not serve on the ARC or DRC.)
If you have an interest or have questions, feel free to contact Chris Leja at LeComChris@yahoo.com or talk with your Region President.
Thank you in advance for investing in AITP with your most critical asset – time!
