It has been four years since the Association Board of Directors (ABoD) approved and published AITP's formal set of Standards of Responsibility for Handling Electronic Waste (see http://www.aitp.org/news/70199/). The social and technical issues associated with eWaste are as relevant today as they were in 2008, and the Los Angeles Business Journal chose to feature the AITP eWaste standards on page 43 of its March 19, 2012 issue. While the quote attributions from the original press release are dated, the article "Standards of Responsibility for Handling Electronic Waste” is still an excellent technology strategy for business … and great publicity for AITP.
