The Information Systems Educators Conference (ISECON) and Conference on Information Systems Applied Research (CONISAR) will be held November 1-4, 2012 in New Orleans, LA. Registration begins in August. See http://www.isecon.org/ and http://www.conisar.org/ for details.
ISECON, the leading national conference in Information Systems Education, has been held since 1982 and is the largest continuously running conference for IS educators. Accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings and awarding winning papers are published in the Information Systems Educators Journal (ISEDJ).
CONISAR focuses on research in real-world practical applications of information sciences, systems, and technology, and provides a valuable forum for both researchers and practitioners. Accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings and awarding winning papers are published in the Journal of Information Systems Applied Research (JISAR).
Registrants for ISECON can freely attend CONISAR functions and vice versa.
The focus of ISECON/CONISAR 2012 is Cloud Computing and Big Data. It will feature keynotes and panels lead by professionals from EMC, Net Gear and Deloitte Touché.
ISECON and CONISAR are organized and sponsored by the Education Special Interest Group (EDSIG) of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and are managed by the Foundation for Information Technology Education (FITE).
