Twin City Chapter Presents Student Award

On April 18, 2013,
the AITP Twin City Chapter in Bloomington/Normal, IL honored an Illinois State
University student for superior academic and extracurricular involvement.
The chapter is proud
to announce the recipient of the $1,000 Student Award. The award is given out
annually to a student chapter AITP member that has at least 60 credit hours and
is in an IT related field.

recipient this year is Andrew Lester of Illinois State University. Andrew is
currently the student chapter Treasurer of the Student AITP Club, where he
manages their finances and also gives class presentations to encourage new
students to join AITP. Often, Andrew takes on other miscellaneous duties as a
club officer as well.
Andrew is a Network
and Telecommunications Management major with an Accounting minor. He has
managed a 3.57 cumulative GPA and a 3.87 Major GPA, earning spots on the Dean's
list several semesters.
Andrew is also a
National Science Foundation Scholar.
This summer, Andrew will work as a Technical Analyst Intern at State
Farm, as he pursues a career-goal of becoming a Network Engineer.
