AITP is pleased to welcome Ted Pfeiffer as AITP's new Executive Director. Ted joined the AITP headquarters team in November, 2010 to begin his transition, and officially stepped into the role on January 1, 2011. As part of the transition process, AITP volunteer leaders have re-crafted the role of the Executive Director. With those changes, Ted's primary focus will be to advise the Association Board of Directors (ABoD) and the association president on strategic issues. "I appreciate the many gracious welcomes I've received from the AITP board and volunteers, " he said, "And I'm excited about the opportunity to work with the organization's leaders as we look ahead to our second 60 years of serving IT professionals."
Ted joined AITP's management partner, SmithBucklin, in April 2008. Prior to joining SmithBucklin, he was Vice President of Product Management at the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), where he was responsible for strategy and operations of the association's $10 million fee-for-service revenue stream, as well HFMA's 70 chapters. Before joining HFMA, Ted spent seven years as a strategic and performance improvement management consultant serving hospitals and health systems. Ted began his career as a manager with Marriott. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
With the AITP Member Summit right around the corner, Ted said, "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet as many members and volunteers as possible at Member Summit and to experience more of the special culture that's kept AITP thriving for so many years."
