With two months left in the year, there are still many great plans in store for our fellow AITP members. I personally attended the ISECON conference October 28th - October 31st in Nashville, Tennessee. ISECON (Information Systems Educators Conference) is THE conference to attend to learn about and contribute to the latest trends and issues in the Information Systems academic field. Topics include pedagogy, enrollment trends, outcomes assessment and improving IS education.
ISECON is held in conjunction with CONISAR 2010. ISECON focuses on IS Education. CONISAR focuses on IS Applied Research. Registrants for CONISAR can freely attend ISECON functions and vice versa. I will be reporting on that magnificent event in next month's President's message.
Additionally, be on the lookout for new partnership agreements that we continue to forge for our AITP members. With recent agreements between Microsoft, CIO Magazine among others, AITP's Partners and Affiliates Committee is actively searching for new ways to enhance our overall membership proposition. As a reminder, a complete list of our partners can be found on our portal at the Partners page. Lastly, if you have any potential vendors who might want to consider a partnership with AITP, please send them to email@example.com for more information.
In the remaining two months of my term, there is still much to be accomplished. We are diligently working on completing objectives from this year's strategic plan, as well as working with a great team to develop our Strategic Plan for 2011. Incoming President Jim Henry has been working with a great group of members to ensure that all aspects of AITP membership are being reviewed.
As always, it is important that each and every member is heard and if you have comments or questions regarding the focus and drive of this organization, I would encourage you to contact me at any time. It is my honor and pleasure to serve you as President of AITP, I look forward to closing my term with a bang and I can certainly appreciate all of your support.
