The Annual Meeting of the Members was held on November 3, 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA. The meeting was held in conjunction with the annual ISECON Conference, which is the Information Systems Educators Conference sponsored by EDSIG and the Foundation for Information Technology Education. The 2006 Annual Report is now posted on the web portal. The URL is given in another article. There were several new faces at the Annual Meeting of the Members. It was good to see and hear from these AITP members.
The 2008 Planning Session was held while the Association Board was in Pittsburgh. The board worked to narrow the tasks to be accomplished in 2008. Notes from the planning session are still being finalized.
I would like to remind members of the Forums that can be used to discuss items you might have questions about. You can use these Forums as another way to network with other AITP members. The AITP discussion forums are available to you at the Members section of the AITP web portal, www.aitp.org. After you sign on, click on "Forums". You can establish a forum logon. When you do, the AITP web portal will be able to show you which postings are new, so you don't have to hunt for them. You can even have the web portal notify you when someone responds to a particular post. Check out the AITP forums and discover a new way to network with IT professionals.
