Region V held its Fall Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 19-20, 2005. The conference was sponsored and managed by the Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter of AITP.

Members and guests of Region V chapters from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri attended sessions on Software Quality Assurance, Windows Server 2003 Volume Shadow, and, Skills Based Assessments.

The conference also included a Leadership Workshop with sessions on Members-"How to Recruit Them and How to Keep Them", led by Bob Heimann and Steve Femal, and , "How to Put Together a "Special" Special Event" led by Lou Buell.

Many of the chapter members and guests also attended the Region V Board of Directors meeting held concurrent with the event to get a first hand look at the inner workings of the AITP governance structure.

The Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter also held its chapter Board Meeting during the conference and was fortunate to have Brian Reithel, 2005 AITP Association President, and Mark Gilfand, 2006 AITP Association President, as their special guests.

The highlight of the conference was a Wednesday night banquet featuring Dr. Brian Reithel, AITP Association President, who talked on the topic, "Floor-top, Lap-top, Palm-top, Non-top(and Non-stop): Challenges for the IT Professional of the Future".

At the conclusion of his talk, Dr. Reithel was presented with a Brett Favre Green Bay Packer football jersey-another "Mississippi Boy", who, like Brian , has done quite well. The presentation was made by Corey Popp, president of the Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter.

In addition to solid educational opportunities, fellowship, and networking, the attendees also had the opportunity to win some door prizes , among which was a authenticate, autographed helmet of the future Hall of Fame quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre.

Attendees also had the opportunity to "win" some money at the Oneida Casino that is adjacent to the Radisson Hotel and Convention Center where the conference was held.

The conference proved to be a rewarding experience for all concerned.
