The conference started out on Friday morning with a tour of the new DELL facility in Kernersville, North Carolina, followed by a keynote luncheon with Don Tennant, Editor of Computerworld Magazine.
The afternoon hightlighted various IT presentations: Cabling Standards and Trends, Disaster Recovery, and Project Management.
On Friday evening, everyone enjoyed an outing the the Barn Dinner Theater where the group enjoyed a play titled "We've Been Friends Forever". The event was sold out and very entertaining!
Saturday morning's events consisted of presentations on Database Ethics, followed by .NET, and capped by a CIO forum where IT exectives from 3 N.C. companies - Charlotte, Raleigh and Burlington - discussed the state of IT in their firms,what they look for in hiring staff, and the skills needed to sustain a technology career.
