Dear Members and Friends,
This is a short but meaningful report. Very soon I will issue a State of the Association report, which will contain greater details and by direct e-mail will reach a greater percentage of members. While our electronic newsletter and our Portal are prize-winning efforts, unfortunately readership is not where we would like. Help us build visits by encouraging your friends and associates to try out the AITP Web Portal.
Our association is continuing to get better. In fact, we are doing quite well. We have stopped the bleeding, meaning our membership losses have stopped and we are ahead in numbers. Our great efforts in cost cutting while maintaining essential services are paying off. We are in the black and intend to keep it that way.
Our concentration on developing member benefits is paying dividends and we continue that effort. Perceived value for membership has improved greatly and we are still in the early stages of our plans and accomplishments.
The Portal, our pride and joy, grows more useful and attractive each week. What a great job our people have done on this. You have only to visit it to know how much information is offered and how much work has gone into it. The testing was successful, so we'll do electronic voting in the elections coming up soon. Do we guarantee the results will be beyond question? You bet. Okay, so none of the races are contested but that's how it goes.
Let me ask you to look forward to the State of the Association Report. And once more, let me also ask you to visit our Portal more and encourage others to do so. If you see or talk to any of our board or committee members, or all oursubunit leaders, do thank them for a great job with their contributions to our association. We can be proud of where we are but we need continuing effort, still.
Thank you for your continued faith and interest in AITP. AITP exists for the members: you.
In closing, here is a quote to share:
We can tell you and you won't remember,
We can show you and you'll remember some,
We get you involved and you will understand.
If you are not, please get involved. If you are, thank you.
