If you are going to the National Collegiate Conference on March 29-31 in San Antonio, Texas and your AITP Student Chapter thinks your faculty advisor goes above and beyond the call of duty, read about the AITP Faculty "Going the Extra Mile” Award.
This award was developed to recognize faculty members that truly go "the extra mile” for their AITP student chapter. Candidates do not have to be the official faculty advisor for the AITP student chapter. The winner will be announced during the closing awards banquet at the AITP National Collegiate Conference.
Traits of "ideal candidates” are those who:
Give of their time and energy in an unselfish manner to the AITP student chapter throughout the year.
Keep the AITP student chapter focused.
Ensure successful AITP student chapter events and activities.
Bends over backwards to train, support and mentor chapter officers, committee chairs and members.
Helps coordinate chapter trips, events and activities and basically "makes things happen when it looks like they will not happen”.
Complete details and how to nominate your faculty advisor or professors who help with your student chapter can be found on the AITP Student Awards page and the NCC Student & Faculty Awards page.
