Processor Magazine, a bi-weekly IT publication, offers free listings to AITP Chapters and Regions of upcoming meetings and/or events in the "Upcoming IT Events” section of Processor in print and online. The online version is at www.processor.com and a free subscription can be ordered from there by any Chapter member. Processor offers news, articles, and product reviews as well as a wide variety of products and services advertised for the IT Professional and Data Center Manager.
This is a great way to promote your Chapter or Region to other IT professionals in the area. Some AITP Chapters and Regions are already doing this. But many may not know about this free promotion opportunity. To request to have your meetings or events listed free of charge, just email the information to feedback@processor.com Give the Chapter or Region or Event name, location, and date & time (not a detailed listing). If you would like extra free copies of the publication to distribute at your meetings or event send that request also to feedback@processor.com.
Surprisingly, there are a lot of IT professionals who know little or nothing about AITP, so doing something like this helps to get the AITP and Chapter or Region name out into the public realm. This may reach and interest at least some of those individuals to attend an AITP meeting or event for the first time and see the benefits the organization has to offer.
