AITP: Information Executive Newsletter Article

The Association Directors & Officers Recruitment Committee (ARC) and its four District Recruitment Committees have been actively recruiting AITP professional members in good standing to run for a national director or officer position for the 2011 Association Board. The deadline for candidate submissions was midnight Central time on June 30.

The Association Board is comprised of:
President
Executive Vice President-President Elect
Secretary
Treasurer
Past President
District Directors: Two representatives from each district (Eastern, Central, Southern and Western)

The Districts are as follows:
Eastern District: Regions 11, 13 & 18
Central District: Region 5
Southern District: Regions 3 & 7
Western District: Regions 1, 2 & 4

Note: Pursuant to the Association Bylaws, the 2010 Executive Vice President/President Elect will automatically assume the position of President in 2011, and the current President will hold the Past President's position. In addition, the District Directors serve a rotating 2-year term. Only one seat per district is up for elections for 2011.

We commend these members for volunteering their service to help our association build on the momentum that has been generated over the past few years.

In July, the ARC will be working with the web team to post the candidates credentials and visions for AITP for your review. The candidates will be campaigning for your vote so we encourage you to get to know your candidates! You will receive a special email communication from HQ with the link to each candidate's information.

The AITP 2011 Elections (voting by the members) will be held September 1 - 30, 2010. To be eligible to vote, you must be a professional member in good standing as of August 31, 2010.
