    About our AITP Professional Chapter
    The Association of Information Technology Professionals is the oldest organization representing information technology professionals in the United States and Canada. Since 1951, our association has been dedicated to the advancement of the information technology professional. Our Chapter has served the greater Charleston areas since it was chartered in 1962. We are the only Professional AITP Chapter in the State of South Carolina. Chapter membership includes information technology managers, programming/system engineers, researchers, consultants, educators and company CEO's. The Charleston Chapter provides the local presence and meeting forum to deliver the most tangible benefits associated with AITP. Representing various organizations, the Charleston Chapter is dedicated to serving its members by providing educational and networking platforms to help members develop their business skills and enhance their IT careers.

    Meeting Information
    Typically the Charleston Chapter meets the third Thursday of every month for an event. Meetings are held at various locations and occasionally include dinners,luncheons. business after hours educational workshops and special events.     If you are a new member or an existing member who would like to learn more about AITP please plan to attend our quarterly membership meeting to learn more about the benefits of AITP membership, our goals and philosophy; learn what our local chapter is doing on both a local and regional level; we will discuss COPA and IPA Awards and the importance of each; and we will discuss how you can get more involved by volunteering for a AITP committee.

    Our quarterly meeting will be held the same day as our dinner meeting on May 20th, 2010 from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
