We're the Southern Poly student chapter of AITP (Association of IT Professionals). We are your technology group on campus, and you're invited to come and join in on all of the fun this semester. I want to take this time to congratulate our own Darlene Echols for winning the AITP Atlanta sponsored Julian Wade Scholarship. She was one of only 2 students statewide to be honored with this award. It feels good knowing that a SPSU student has won. Way to go Darlene!! :)

Our Executive Roundtable Event on September 28th 2009 was a major success. We had 35 people total to show up for this event. Our panelists and moderator shared some valuable insights and perspective on the latest trend in the IT field. If you missed it, we will have part of the event available soon on video clip. Great news from STUCON 2009! Our own president Marcus Guidry participated in the scavenger hunt and won 1st place for SPSU. He also advanced in the 2nd round of the PC Troubleshooting contest and placed 4th. Our chapter also was given $100 by the AITP Atlanta Chapter for attending the event. Our congratulations to Marcus for representing us well!! Way to go Marcus!!
