CompTIA AITP San Diego Chapter

Leaders of this San Diego IT organization use the individual feedback they get from members to craft events technology pros want to experience. That translates to educational IT forums, summer soirees and CIO roundtables on topics like information management.

The CompTIA AITP San Diego Chapter was founded in 1953 and has been around since nearly the beginning of AITP. Its members have long-supported student chapters as well.

Members of this San Diego IT organization also act as directors and student liaisons to support the CompTIA AITP Student Chapter at San Diego State University. San Diego Chapter members bring in executives for student presentations, and raise money to pay for student tickets to monthly chapter events so they can attend for free.

San Diego CompTIA AITP hosts its own heavy- hitting events, some that have been around long enough to be IT industry event staples:

  • The San Diego Chapter hosts an annual cloud computing conference, which has been introducing big thinkers sharing IT intel on cloud technology for more than a decade.
  • Members of this San Diego IT organization hold a regional tech conference that brings more than 300 professionals together to share trends and use cases from organizations deploying technologies, such as IoT and big data.
  • The San Diego Chapter held its inaugural golf outing in 2016, a charity event that’s since become a tradition.
