Topic: DR Planning Life Cycle: Gaining Management Approval to Design and Implement
Protecting the availability and reliability of IT systems is critical in today's business environment as so many organizations have placed higher demands and expectations from their IT systems. Disaster Recovery Planning begins with an endorsement or approval from management, and therefore it is essential to provide solid business justification for any DR initiative. We will review the entire DR Planning Life Cycle starting with this critical step of how to gain management approval. We will then review best practices for design and implementation of a DR Plan that is well integrated with the organization's requirements and goals.
