The AITP National Collegiate Conference continues to be the single largest event produced by AITP annually and the 2014 event was yet again no exception. The AITP NCC event was last held in the Atlanta area back in 2005 with Chattahoochee Technical College as the host along with the Atlanta AITP professional chapter. Fast forward to April 10-13, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the beautiful and awesome location of the Omni CNN Center hotel at the center of it all that downtown Atlanta has to offer.

See this summary for highlights winners, and participating schools.  The summary is available at the NCC web page,, along with links to many pictures from this outstanding AITP event.

A special thanks go out to ALL 2014 AITP NCC Co-Hosts for providing these valuable services to ensure the success of the event:

With over 700 total attendees, conference co-chairs Dawn Tatum (Southern Polytechnic State University) and Hank Edwards (AITP Atlanta Professional Chapter President) were pleased not only with the obvious conference success but also with how the five co-hosting AITP student chapters and the AITP Atlanta chapter all came together handling their portions of the event successfully to the point that many of the attendees were commenting “Best AITP NCC Event Ever”!

Conference sponsors included State FarmHome DepotUSAADell SecureWorksRobert Half TechnologyIBMLexisNexisICCPCOMMONAITP, Foundation for Information Technology Education and IBM joined by exhibitors CompTIAIT-oLogyGeneral Motors and more.

Additional attendees included all the 2014 AITP association officers and board members as they were holding their board meeting in conjunction with the AITP NCC event which allowed them to mix-n-mingle with student chapter members, leaders and faculty advisor alike throughout the conference. The conference continues to deliver true value and opportunities to the AITP student and faculty and unique opportunities to hear leading IT organization speakers through keynotes and breakout sessions.

Planning has already started for the big 20th annual AITP National Collegiate Conference which will be in downtown Omaha March 26-29, 2015 at the Omaha Hilton and literally across the street connected by a skywalk to the CenturyLink Convention Center - the same venue as the successful 2004 AITP NCC used. Our conference co-hosts will include not only the Omaha AITP Professional chapter but also the University of Iowa AITP student chapter.

On behalf of the entire AITP NCC Committee & Volunteers, congratulations to ALL the contest winners, have a Great Summer, and we hope to see you in Omaha next year!
